Home Cleaning Business Plan with Added Value

Add this service to your cleaning business plan to add an income stream and to give more value to your clients.

Ideas for business come from strange places sometimes. This one came from my dentist's office. My dentist rents plants for his office, and hires the plant care done.

Why not add this service as a value added item in your business?

You can start small -- provide a few plants to your clients' homes, and make plant care part of your weekly service. Watering, dusting, feeding, pruning...and if the plant dies, you can replace it.

If you're good with house plants, this is a great added service. Your clients will be happy -- they'll get great looking, healthy plants in their homes. You'll be happy -- a client who may only have you in twice a month to clean allows you to come back weekly for the plants.

(And I bet you can find other ways to get paid while you're there).

Remember, add value for your customers and make yourself IN-valuable!

Cleaning Business Franchise? Good, or bad?

I was reading a few news items about a cleaning business franchise recently -- and it occurred to me that I should make some comments on them here.

After all, some of you may be hearing the siren call of franchises and may want some guidance.

Most franchises (not all) want you to pay high fees to "own" them. A cleaning business franchise may help you with equipment. More often, you get to use their name. And that's how they get you.

Now, if you want to be recognized by name right off the bat, and you have the money sitting around -- great. Buy the franchise. Wear the uniform. The company will do some advertising for you and you'll have name recognition your first day in business.

You'll also have rules to follow and maybe even quotas. Not to mention regional limitations, marking where you can do business, and where you can't.

But if you don't have the money to start a cleaning business franchise, DON'T WORRY. You can start today in your very own business. Use the marketing ideas found in this site. And unless you live in a very remote area with only a couple of neighbors, you can run your very successful cleaning business right now.

No start up fees. No franchise fees.
